Overview

The tiny community of Jackson occupies a significant place on the Minnesota map, with an entire downtown district on the National Registry of Historic Places. The crown jewel is the 1908 Jackson County Courthouse, an impressive Neoclassical construction of Bedford limestone.

Marvin provided a historically faithful, low-maintenance replacement solution for the worn-out, inefficient windows throughout the courthouse.

Signature Products and Services

  • To replicate the original 3" x 3" diamond lite cut in 100+ huge new Double Hung windows, Marvin used Simulated Divided Lites, which adhere to both sides of the glass. Spacer bars were installed between the panes for an authentic look.

  • Detailed lite patterns were created for the courthouse’s dome windows that met the exacting criteria of the National Registry.

  • The bottom rail and hardware were routed to match the existing sill condition.

  • Products and Options included:
    • Double Hung Windows with Simulated Divided Lites with spacer bars and extruded aluminum clad exteriors
