Harmon Residence | Clad Direct Glaze Units with authentic divided lites NEW
Project Location: Springfield, Illinois Signature Solution: The design of this custom home includes 2” authentic divided lites and custom wood bead on many of the window units. A new aluminum extrusion and nine new wood parts were fabricated for this project. University of Wisconsin at Madison | Custom casing, radius stile NEW
Project Location: UW Education Building, Madison, WI Signature Solution: The project involves 37,000 GSF of new construction and renovation of 71,000 GSF, including the reconstruction of a façade on the north elevation. The design aims to achieve LEED gold certification. Replication of windows with the springline below the checkrail calls for a custom Round Top variation. Custom subsills and exterior and interior ogee lugs are also part of this project. Amherst | Custom Clad Casing - Intricate Design Detail

Beery Residence | Clad Casing with Custom Back Banding
Project Location: Moweaqua, IL Signature Solution: The Beery Residence is an old farmhouse located in Moweaqua, Illinois. The existing windows and doors consist of both rectangular and archtop with a beautiful casing detail that included wood flat casing with a custom back banding. The renovation of the house included new windows and doors with a low maintenance clad exterior to replicate the old. A new custom clad die was designed and created to maintain the historic detail of all the windows and doors. Chardon Residence | Clad Magnum Triple Hung Windows
Project Location: New Hampshire Signature Solution: New residence that was designed with 8' tall operable triple hung units. Evanston Roundhouse | Oversized Stationary Clad Double Hung
Project Location: Evanston, WY Signature Solution: Very large windows are required for this adaptive reuse renovation project. Rough openings are over 58" x 185". Marvin Signature is providing clad Magnum 2" checkrail units with 7/8" simulated divided lite with spacer bars, and custom clad casing. Gary Blind School Boiler Room | Clad Ultimate Double Hung - Radius Head + Custom Casing
Project Location: Gary, SD Signature Solution: Once home to the first School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Gary Blind School has been in the process of a full renovation of the campus. This particular building, the Boiler Room, will be used to house a Wellness and Fitness Center and Laundry area. Geary-Ross Residence | Pivot Window – Rectangle with Inverted Radius Corners
Project Location: Southampton, NY Signature Solution: The new poolhouse design included 6 rectangular shaped windows with inverted radius corners. The biggest obstacle: they needed to be operable. Marvin Signature products supplied an operable wood pivot window with brick mould casing and simulated divided lites with spacer bars to meet the required specifications. Hamline University | Extruded aluminum screen
Project Location: St. Paul, MN Signature Solution: Replacement of 132 large double hung units with new, energy effiicient, low maintenance windows. The units were replaced with Clad Ultimate Double Hung Magnum units with a special profile casing and sill. One of the key design elements of this project was developing a clad screen to replicate the old wood screens. Project Location: Prescott, AZ Signature Solution: Historic renovation of a c.1880 building included the replacement of about 25 double hungs units, 11 of which were in an arched opening. Koons Residence | Wood Magnum Single Hung Roundtops with split header
Project Location: Baltimore, MD Signature Solution: These units are designed as roundtops that will operate as rectangular units for a much larger vent opening. The units are built with a second header that is built into the wall to accommodate opening the bottom sash to full travel. Lawrence | Wood Ultimate Triple Hung
Project Location: Massachusetts Signature Solution: This project required a complete design package to turn a Marvin Wood Ultimate Double Hung window into a triple hung. The customer preferred the look of the Ultimate Double Hung which was not offered in a triple hung. The windows also included a wood simulated thick cedar subsill. Maryland House of Delegates | Custom Clad Casing w/casing and sill extension
Project Location: Annapolis, MD Signature Solution: This 18th century building is in the process of a major historic renovation. In an effort to replicate the existing wood casing in a new, low maintenance clad exterior four new clad dies needed to be designed and made. McDonald Mansion | Wood Double Hung Chain and Pulley
Project Location: Santa Rosa, CA Signature Solution: The McDonald Mansion (ca. 1870) project is a 14,000 SF historic home that is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places as a Stick-Eastlake style which is a type of Victorian Architecture. The mansion is undergoing a foundation-to-roof restoration to make the house as close as possible to the original design. The design includes Chain and Pulley Double Hung windows in vertical grain douglas fir with many custom features including ogee lugs, custom profiled sill, top and bottom checkrail, bottom rail, interior sash stop, and putty glazing bead. 1200 North Lake Shore Drive | Wood Magnum Triple Sash - bottom two sash operate
Project Location: Chicago, IL Signature Solution: Designed by the famed architect Benjamin Marshall, 1200 North Lake Shore Drive was completed in 1912. Originally known as The Stewart Apartments, the building was built in the Adams style, a Neo-Classical tradition characterized by a stately facade of refined simplicity, delicate low-relief ornamentation and monochromatic light colors chosen for materials and decor. Marvin was sought to provide replacement windows in one of the condominium units. The current triple hung feature windows needed replacement. Norwich University | Clad exterior jamb extension
Project Location: Northfield, VT Signature Solution: New construction of a 280 bed Student Civilian Housing Unit required the use of an exterior clad jamb extension piece as well as an clad extended subsill. Ontario Cottage | Clad Ultmate Casement and Awning with 1 1/2" Tripane Glazing
Project Location: Ontario, MB Signature Solution: Private Residence utilizing 1 1/2" Tripane Glazing. Being located on a large lake energy efficiency was of top priority. This glazing option provided a .21 U-Factor (4.76 R-value). The windows and doors were built with Cedro Macho wood species and Hampton Sage clad. Rutgers University | Wood Casemaster & Friction Casemaster – Custom Design
Project Location: New Brunswick, NJ Signature Solution: Van Nest Hall was erected in 1845 as Rutgers' second instructional building, which today houses university offices. Casement windows for this historic replacement project include custom subsill, stile, rail, and bottom rail, authentic divided lite bar with flat astragal applied, custom flat casing and wood screen, interior energy panels, and friction operation with an Ives casement adjuster. St. Theresa Catholic Church | Clad ADL bar
Project Location: Sugar Land, TX Signature Solution: St. Theresa Catholic School began the new construction with the idea of trying to replicate the existing buildings on the campus as much as possible. One of the most important requirements was the use of an Authentic Divided Lite bar on most of the clad units. This presented a challenge for our Signature Products group. Sugar Mill | Standard Clad Casing – Arched openings Variation #3
Project Location: Claremont, NH Signature Solution: Sugar Mill, the renovation of an old mill building in historic Claremont, NH, had several radius openings that required an arched casing at the head. Signature Products applied the special casing and subill at the jambs and sill. Milled plates with bent casing applied were used at the head of the rectangular units to fit the arched openings. Templewood | Wood Double Hung with Narrow Checkrails
Project Location: London, England Signature Solution: Large single family luxury home located in an exclusive area of Hampstead in inner London required Signature Products to design a Wood Ultimate Double Hung that would meet historic requirements in the United Kingdom.
