Marvin Standard Options

Marvin makes it easy to achieve a distinctive look by providing a wide array of standard options. If the option you desire is not available, Marvin Signature Products and Services can work with you to develop a solution.

Wood Options

Only the finest wood species are found in Marvin Windows and Doors. Choose one to complement the style and design of your project.

Some wood species are not suitable for exterior use and are only available on clad-wood products.
Wood is a product of nature and will vary in color, texture and grain. The wood options shown above are to demonstrate the approximate look of each species. The photos are not intended to reflect a product’s interior or exterior profile.

Jamb Extensions

To aid with installation and create a seamless wood interior, Marvin offers factory-applied jamb extensions. Jamb extensions increase the depth of the window to accommodate the thickness of the wall.

4 9/16" (116 mm) jambs are standard except where noted.
Adding jamb extensions to Signature Inswing Casemasters, Inswing French Casemasters and Inswing Hoppers will limit operation.
Jamb extensions for doors are available up to 9 9/16" (243 mm) and for windows up to 14" (355 mm).
Larger custom jamb extensions are also available through Marvin. Contact Signature Products and Services for more information.

Clad Color Options

Marvin's low maintenance clad-wood products feature an extruded aluminum exterior finished in commercial-grade paint that exceeds AAMA 2605-05 standards and offers superior resistance to fading and chalking.

Clad Casing and Subsills

Factory-applied exterior clad casing and subsills enhance the profile and architectural detail of your project while saving time and labor. Choose from nine casing options (six pictured below) and six complementary subsills to distinguish your work.

Clad-wood products come standard without exterior casing. If desired, a casing option can be specified at time of order.

Subsills

Sill thickness and depth should complement a casing option and window style. Marvin offers six, extruded aluminum subsills options.

Please note: Due to the variety of possible combinations of casings and subsill options, special dimensional considerations for different installation methods are required. Please contact your local Marvin retailer when specifying casing and subsill combinations.

Wood Casing and Subsills

Exterior wood casing and subsills are available in Pine (standard), Vertical Grain Douglas Fir, Primed Wood and Mahogany. A standard subsill may feature an extended sill nose or simulated thick face to give the desired appearance.

Panning Systems, Frame Extenders, Frame Expanders, Mull Covers and Color-Matched Coil Stock

Panning sysems cover weathered exterior sills and trim with a new exterior of attractive, low-maintenance, highly durable extruded aluminum panning with commercial grade paint. Panning is easy to assemble and screw into place from a building's interior. Two panning profiles are available: flat or profiled (a.k.a. Charles Street). Additionally, mull covers can be used to separate the windows by a specified dimension for structural or aesthetic reasons. Standard mull covers are available in widths of 3/8", 1", 2", 3", 4" and 6".

Insulating Glass comes standard with all Marvin windows and doors. Other energy and performance options are available.

Divided Lites

Grilles and Divided Lites offer unlimited opportunities for creativity. Marvin has four distinct ways to bring out the best in your window designs:
